Individual Counseling

Individual counseling at Bunches provides a private, supportive space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and work toward meaningful change.

We work with children, teens, and adults, adapting the counseling approach to each person's age, personality, needs, and goals. Sessions may focus on understanding emotions, developing coping skills, navigating relationships and life transitions, improving self-awareness, building confidence, or working through challenges that are getting in the way of everyday life.

For children and younger clients, counseling may incorporate developmentally appropriate approaches and therapeutic play when appropriate. For adolescents and adults, sessions may provide space to explore thoughts, emotions, relationships, patterns, and practical strategies for navigating life's challenges.

Counseling at Bunches is collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all. The goal isn't simply to tell you what to do. It's to work together to better understand what's happening, identify what you need, and develop tools that can help you move forward.

Group Counseling

At Bunches, group therapy is designed to provide a supportive, structured space where people can work toward personal growth while connecting with others who may share similar experiences. We offer groups for children, teens, and adults, with groups developed around specific needs, experiences, and goals.

Each Bunches therapy group is a closed group, meaning the same participants attend throughout the entire group experience. Groups are intentionally kept small, with up to 8 participants, allowing members to get to know one another, build trust, and have meaningful opportunities to participate and connect.

Most groups run for approximately 8–10 weeks, with a consistent meeting time each week. Over the course of the group, members have the opportunity to learn new skills, explore relevant topics, practice connecting with others, and apply what they learn to their everyday lives.

Group offerings will vary throughout the year based on age, interests, and areas of need. Each group will have its own description outlining who the group is designed for, what participants can expect, the schedule, length, and cost.

Groups may be a good fit for people who are looking for support while also wanting the experience of learning and growing alongside others.

Mental Health Education

Not everything needs to happen in a therapy session.

Bunches offers mental health education designed to make psychological concepts, emotional wellness, relationships, and practical mental health skills accessible, understandable, and useful in everyday life.

Educational offerings may include workshops, courses, parent programs, teen programs, skill-building experiences, and other educational resources. Topics may vary depending on the program and the needs of the community.

These offerings are designed for people who want to learn more about themselves, better understand the people in their lives, develop practical skills, or simply become more informed about mental health without necessarily participating in ongoing individual therapy.

Some programs may be designed specifically for parents, teens, families, educators, or other groups, while others may be open to anyone interested in the topic.

New educational programs and content will be added as Bunches grows.

Why We Choose Not to Accept Insurance

At Bunches, we believe therapy should be built on trust, transparency, and meaningful relationships. Out of respect for both our clients and our providers, we have chosen not to accept insurance so we can prioritize clear communication, upfront costs, and a straightforward experience without hidden fees or unexpected requirements.

We also believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the work we do. Unfortunately, insurance requirements can sometimes lead to interruptions in care or the abrupt ending of a therapeutic relationship, even when continued support would be beneficial. We believe that these relationships deserve care, consideration, and thoughtful closure whenever possible.

By operating outside of insurance networks, we aim to create a space where clients and providers can focus on what matters most: building trust, fostering growth, and doing meaningful work together.

Although we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide super bills upon request that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to understand your benefits before beginning services.
